Assistant Professor of Research Preventive Medicine

As an employee of USC, you will be a part of a world-class research university and a member of the "Trojan Family," which is comprised of the faculty, students and staff that make the university what it is.The Division of Health Behavior Research in the Department of Preventive Medicine, and the Institute for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research (IPR) are recruiting to fill a non-tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor of Research.  We seek an individual with postdoctoral experience in mixed methods analysis and health disparities research, with an emphasis on tobacco product use and addiction risk in vulnerable populations, particularly among youth and young adults.  As part of the USC Tobacco Center on Regulatory Science (TCORS), the major source of funding for this position, the successful candidate is expected to collaborate with a large multi-disciplinary team of faculty and graduate level trainees working in the area of tobacco prevention and control.   The Division and IPR have active academic training programs that inform the research enterprise.  Teaching experience and teaching and mentoring of students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged.  The successful candidate is expected to develop a leadership role in conducting health disparities and health equity research, including the development and attainment of NIH and other grant funding.  Apply here, upload your CV and a summary of research goals.
