Assistant Professors in Clinical Science

Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Faculty Los Angeles, California

The Department of Psychology in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles is seeking applications for two tenure track positions with the rank of Assistant Professor within the Clinical Science area.

For one position, we specifically seek candidates with original lines of research in clinical geropsychology, aging, and/or lifespan development. For the other position, we seek candidates with an innovative program of research in any area of clinical science. Current faculty interests are broad, ranging from child and family processes to trauma, health, clinical aging, mood disorders, culture and race, and psychological intervention and assessment. Regardless of the specific area of focus, we are especially interested in candidates for either position whose work incorporates cultural or racial/ethnic perspectives in clinical science. Our program is accredited by the American Psychological Association and the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS).

The appointment is expected to begin in August 2022. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. and demonstrate an excellent doctoral and/or post-doctoral record that includes a strong track record of publications and potential to secure extramural funding. The department aims to foster a diverse intellectual community and we strongly encourage applications from all underrepresented groups.
