Associate Director, Digital Services

USC University Advancement division is seeking an Associate Director, Digital Services to join its USC Alumni Association team. Reporting to Executive Director of Alumni Relations, the incumbent will manage the overall deliverable calendar for all event related items, ensuring that all platforms and data are in alignment for event launch, marketing and registration. The incumbent will also assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of event-related digital platforms. In these efforts, they will liaise with internal marketing, engagement and event teams as well as with additional campus partners as necessary.

A qualified candidate should have excellent communication, project management and analytical skills, the ability to build bridges and strong collaborative relationships across a complex organization with astuteness and agility and can demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Duties may require occasional weekend and evening hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the overall marketing deliverable calendar for events and membership initiatives, ensuring that all platforms are in alignment for launch, marketing and registration. Liaises with internal marketing, engagement and events teams as well as additional campus partners as necessary.

  • Works with internal and external staff as appropriate to provide strategic direction and support on the tools used in the marketing and data collection for departmental events and activities.

  • Provides strategic insight and recommendations for all digital event marketing (emails and social) scheduling. Assists in execution as needed.

  • Manages the development, testing and troubleshooting of the departmental event registration platform. Assists with additional platform development, use and integration projects as needed.

  • Oversees various components of constituent data capture, working in concert with appropriate staff to ensure that necessary capture is complete for upcoming communications, initiatives or analysis.

  • Additional special projects as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. 

Minimum Experiences:

  • 3 Years

Minimum Field of Expertise:

  • Three years’ experience in project management, marketing or a related field. Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing.

Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills, able to effectively manage numerous priorities, deadlines and necessary resources simultaneously and in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated analytical and data-driven mindset for extracting insights from metrics. Ability to independently make discreet, informed decisions regarding confidential information. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work in diverse, cross-functional teams and collaborate strategically across departments. Ability to learn and lead adoption of new software and processes as applicable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media scheduling, project management/collaboration software (i.e., Airtable, Basecamp) as well as a experience with a CRM (Salesforce a plus).

The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
