About the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work

The USC Suzanne Dworak-PeckSchool of Social Work is recognized as one of the most innovative in the nation.  Our research and teaching environment is vibrant, interdisciplinary, and highly supported.  We provide educational leadership in the areas of behavioral health; child and family systems; aging; organizations and policy transformation; social work in non-profit, governmental and private sector contexts; housing insecurity; serious mental illness; and military health. Our transformative approach to virtual instruction is recognized as groundbreaking.  Our commitment to advancing the science of social work has generated a new dialogue throughout the profession.

In 2015, the School embarked on a process of revising its curriculum and developing a departmental structure.  Although highly collaborative, we now organize students and faculty into one of three social work departments: (1) Adult Mental Health and Wellness; (2) Children, Youth and Families; and (3) Social Change and Innovation. We are also home to the USC School of Social Work Department of Nursing.  To learn more about our Departments and School, please visit our website at: http://sowkweb.usc.edu
