Clinical Instructor of Neurosurgery (Fellow) - CHLA

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Surgery in the Division of Neurological Surgery at CHLA and the Department of Neurological Surgery at USC, are actively seeking a full-time Clinical Instructor of Neurological Surgery (Fellow) specializing in Brain and Spinal Cord Tumors, Epilepsy, Hydrocephalus, and other Neurosurgical conditions. This non-ACGME Advanced Training in Neurological Surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a one-year clinical program. 

The Neurological Institute at Children's Hospital Los Angeles serves children from newborns to young adults. Patients who undergo neurosurgery or neurology services at Children's Hospital Los Angeles receive treatment from a comprehensive care team that utilizes the most advanced services and surgical solutions. These therapies significantly improve outcomes for children suffering from a wide range of conditions such as brain and spinal cord tumors, deafness, hydrocephalus, and medically intractable epilepsy.

The Institute provides a comprehensive continuum of care—bringing together services from Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Nutrition and Social Work—to support care of patients.

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is a premier pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with USC since 1932, which is the oldest private research university in the Western U.S. and among the top universities in the nation.

The annual base salary for this position is $95,000  When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
