Instructional Lab Tech
Apply Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, CaliforniaUSC Department of Surgery is recruiting an Instructional Lab Tech. The Instructional Lab Tech will
provide administrative and surgical support for the educational courses held in the Surgical Skills and Simulation Center, the Fresh Tissue Dissection Laboratory (FTDL) and the Hoffman Animal Laboratory. Assist with the coordination of all laboratory activities including scheduling, lab preparation, and communication with faculty instructors and learners. Preferred 5 years of experience as an embalmer, surgical or laboratory technician, corpsman, or other health-related field. Familiarity with basic surgical instrumentation and operative procedures is desirable. We are located on the vibrant and bustling USC Health Sciences Campus in northeastern Los Angeles. The hourly rate range for this position is $21.56 - $26.91. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Specialized/technical training, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 2 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment, willing to learn and adapt to diverse educational full procedure surgical laboratory setting. Willing to work mainly with cadaver tissue.
