Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. It also includes more than 40 outpatient facilities, some at affiliated hospitals, in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties.

In 2016, U.S. News & World Report ranked Keck Medical Center of USC among the Top 10 hospitals in the state and among the Top 50 hospitals in the United States in seven specialties: ophthalmology, urology, cancer, geriatrics, orthopedic surgery, nephrology and cardiology and heart surgery.

Operations Manager - Environmental Services - FT 8 Hour Evenings

Minimum Education:

-High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associates in Business Management degree preferred. 

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

-Two to Three (2-3) years of experience in operations at the managerial or supervisory level preferred

-A minimum of Five (5) years of experience as an Environmental Services manager or Hotel Rooms Manager preferred.

Required License/Certification:

-IEHA certification or equivalent preferred.

-Knowledge of Kronos timekeeping system preferred.

-Oral and written English communication skills required.

-Los Angeles Fire Department – Hospital Fire and Safety - completed within  30 days of hire date

This position is responsible for enhancing the Appearance of the Hospital by working collegiality with nursing, facilities and ancillary departments on strategies to improve overall perception of cleanliness throughout the Hospital. The candidate must be able to identify areas of improvement in the Appearance of the Hospital in common areas, inpatient and ancillary areas and must be able to follow through to completion. This position manages the activities of the Ambassador turn down team. The candidate must display recognized leadership and sound organizational and analytical skills and communication skills and will actively assist the Director of Environmental Services in completing projects according to respective deadlines and expectations. . To maintain the highest possible aseptic standards and good public relations by creating a clean, attractive, and safe environment.
