Our core course, an upper division writing course, WRIT 340, teaches students technical communication, engineering ethics, and critical thinking about the role of engineering in society. The course curriculum centers on written and oral communication skills for a variety of audiences. The primary assignment will be to teach this core course with the potential to teach other courses that fit into the EiS curriculum. The anticipated start date is Fall 2025.

Applications must include a cover letter, detailed curriculum vitae, and names of at least three professional references—at least two of whom must be familiar with and able to comment on the applicant’s teaching experience. Applications must also include a teaching statement explaining the applicant’s relevant experience and approach to teaching, as well as a separate diversity statement describing the applicant’s relevant experience and approach to fostering an inclusive environment working with students from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.  Applications should be submitted by December 1, 2024 to receive full consideration; however, applications received after this date may also be considered until the position is filled.
