Part Time Lecturer in Building Science

Los Angeles, California

The USC School of Architecture announces a search for part-time lecturer in Building Science in the area of thermal and environmental controls. Curriculum will include HVAC, electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, rainwater harvesting systems, basic water system design, water reclamation systems, building codes and fire safety and fire protection systems.

Primary criteria are proven excellence in the area of expertise and evidence of potential for excellence in the teaching and participation in the intellectual life of the School.  A record of excellence in scholarship and/or professional practice is desired.  


Candidates should have teaching and/or professional experience in mechaincal engineering for architecture.  Candidates must have at a graduate degree in Architecture, Architecture Engineering, Engineering or related field. Prior teaching experience and research are desirable but not required.

This is a 1 semester appointment starting in January 2019
