Part-Time Lecturer of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (http://ame.usc.edu) of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering (http://viterbi.usc.edu)  invites applications for qualified and experienced part-time faculty to teach courses within the Department in the areas of computational fluid dynamics, flight dynamics, and engineering design.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Aerospace and/or Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent in a relevant field. Candidates must show a commitment to quality instruction, preferably through prior experience in teaching these or closely related classes. 

This is a part-time appointment effective Fall 2025, starting August 16, 2025. Applicants must submit a letter stating their interest in a part-time teaching faculty position, a detailed curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of three professional/teaching references.

The per unit pay range for this position is $3,476.80 - $3,778.44. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope of responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s professional work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
