Part-Time Lecturer of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science

The Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science (http://chems.usc.edu) at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering (http://viterbi.usc.edu) seeks candidates for part-time faculty positions to teach courses in its chemical engineering program. Competitive candidates will have the training and experience necessary to teach effectively in a highly-ranked chemical engineering department that advances undergraduate students through an accredited BS degree program and graduate students enrolled in MS and PhD programs. Relevant industry experience is valued for teaching.

This is a position with a strong teaching focus; all candidates are expected to have a proven commitment to teaching. Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree in chemical engineering or related field (or comparable industry experience) by the date of appointment.

The core salary range for this position is $3,000-$3,476 per unit. This is a part-time position. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope of responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
