Part Time Lecturer of Computer Science

The Computer Science Department ( at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering ( seeks candidates for a teaching position (Part-Time Lecturer) to teach courses in CS and its Informatics program. Competitive candidates will have the training and experience necessary to teach effectively in a highly-ranked Computer Science department that advances undergraduate students through an accredited BS degree program and graduate students enrolled in MS and PhD programs. Relevant industry experience is valued for teaching Informatics-related courses.

This is a position with a strong teaching focus; all candidates are expected to have a proven commitment to teaching. Part-Time Lecturers will spend the majority of their time on teaching and teaching-related duties. Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree in Computer Science (or comparable industry experience) by the date of appointment. The USC Viterbi School of Engineering is among the top tier engineering schools in the world. With 45 tenure-track, 41 research faculty, and 17 teaching faculty, the USC Department of Computer Science is one of the nation’s leading centers of research and education in the field.
