Part-Time, Teaching-Track Faculty Positions in Physical Education

We are seeking outstanding candidates for a part-time lecturer or instructor position for the 2023-2024 academic year. Qualified applicants should have a strong background in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation, or related fields, possess certifications in related fitness areas, and have demonstrated excellence in teaching a variety of fitness courses.
Under the guidance of the Director of Physical Education & Mind Body Health, the primary responsibilities will include instruction of activity-based fitness and classroom lecture courses. Our pedagogy philosophy is to make an impact on students’ overall wellbeing through teaching and building community, through a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in any of the following:
- Kinesiology
- Physical Education
- Exercise Science
- Recreational Sport/Administration
- Education (with an emphasis in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Physiology of Exercise or Adaptive Physical Education)
Bachelor's Degree in any of the following:
- Any Life Science
- Dance
- Physiology
- Health Education
- Recreational Sports
- Physical Therapy or the equivalent
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience in college-level courses and/or training certifications in the domains of wellness, health, and fitness.

The course rate for this position is $2,750 per unit.
