Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate

Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California

USC’s Keck School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, is seeking a  Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate.

The USC Keck School of Medicine, Division of Hematology is looking for a motivated and hard-working Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate.  The position requires the successful applicant to have prior research and lab experience and a continued interest in hematologic diseases and cancers. Prefer experience in cell molecular biology, tissue culture, experience in lab management, and proficient in operation of lab equipment.

The successful applicant will be expected to have excellent data management, record keeping, communication, team building, and computer skills with basic molecular biology programs and spreadsheets, data analysis and graphing.

Rate Information:

This position will be Exempt and On-Site.

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $70,000.00.

Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within previous five years Minimum Experience: 0-1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods. Strong background in computer programming, mathematical modeling is required. Preferred Education: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields. Preferred Experience: Experience in MRI and post-imaging processing Preferred Field of Expertise: Publications in peer-reviewed journals in the same or related field.
