Postdoctoral Scholar - Teaching Fellow

School of International Relations Los Angeles, California

The School of International Relations in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC; Los Angeles, California) invites applications for a postdoctoral position with two-course teaching for AY2018-19.  The fall semester starts in the third week of August 2018. We seek applicants with expertise in the international relations of Asia and China.  The successful candidate will join the Center for International Studies (CIS) at USC as a postdoctoral fellow, and is expected to teach one 15-week course per semester for two semesters.  We also look for candidates with strong research profile with emphasis on academic publications, and interest in engaging in the vibrant research community of the School of International Relations and the CIS.  A Ph.D. is required by time of appointment.

Applications should be complete by January 15, 2018 to receive fullest consideration.  Applicants are required to complete the on-line application process (with few exceptions—such as published books—materials submitted by regular post will not be accepted). Required materials include a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, research sample, evidence of teaching effectiveness, the three reference letters, and official graduate transcripts.
