Professor of Anthropology and Cinematic Arts (Associate or Full)

The Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, the School of Cinematic Arts, and the Department of Anthropology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles invite applications for the position of Professor or Associate Professor of Anthropology and Cinematic Arts. 
The appointment will be at the rank of either Associate or Full Professor. 

Candidates should have a PhD in Anthropology and should have a stellar record 
of documentary production, expertise in critical media theory, and experience in teaching visual media production and media theory. 

The successful candidate will have a leading role in developing a joint graduate program in visual/ media anthropology that will involve training in ethnographic methods, anthropological theory, documentary studies and documentary production. 

While the specific geographic area of specialization is open, we are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in Asia and/or Latin America.
