Project Specialist

Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California

The Division of Environmental Health at the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences at USC is seeking a Project Specialist to manage and coordinate a research and administrative tasks within NIH-funded Southern California Environmental Health Sciences Center (SCEHSC). This role will involve direct collaboration with center directors and other investigators. Responsibilities include: (1) Coordinating meetings, committees, and events related to the center; (2) Managing pilot projects program, (3) Contributing to and coordinating annual reports to funding source; (4) Communicating with community-based organizations; (5) Managing communication and submissions of Institutional Review Board submissions. Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to work on multiple tasks. This is a fixed-term one year position, with opportunities to extend. A degree in public health or environmental sciences is a plus.


The hourly rate range for this position is $29.40-$35.12. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
