Research Lab Technician I
Apply Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe USC Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine is seeking a Research Lab Technician Ito join the team.
A Research Technician position is immediately available in the Hastings Center laboratories of Dr. Yao Wei Lu at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. The Lu lab is interested in studying the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in cardiovascular development and regeneration.
The appointee will assist with general laboratory tasks, ordering and maintaining stocks of supplies. The successful applicant will be expected to have excellent data management, record keeping, communication, team building, and computer skills with basic molecular biology programs and spreadsheets, data analysis and graphing. The appointee will be encouraged to learn more and to participate in the laboratory research.
Rate Information:
This position will be Non-exempt and On-Site.
The hourly rate range for this position is$21.07 to $23.92

Other Information:
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Experience: At least one year experience working in the wet lab. Proficiency in animal work, cell cultures, PCR, cloning, nucleic acid extraction, and use of basic laboratory equipment
Preferred Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols. Knowledge of computer analysis techniques and ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
