Social Media Manager
Apply Enrollment Services Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe Enrollment Services Office of Communications is seeking a Social Media Manager (Marketing Administrator) to join our team. This position is responsible for administrating marketing activities, as assigned. The Social Media Manager administers marketing activities for the Office of Admission, Office of Financial Aid and Academic Records and Registrar, through various social media platforms. This role is responsible for developing, producing and launching a variety of social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and other outlets designed to market events and services to our students, university communities, transfer centers, families and other clients. The Social Media Manager oversees the day-to-day marketing operations and participates in the development of marketing goals, objectives, plans and strategies. In addition, this role assists in determining target markets as well administering programs to promote awareness of department services within the university community and/or to the general public. Job responsibilities include, but are limited to the following:
- Work with departmental liaisons to create content and ensure strategies are in line with goals
- Collaborate with departmental liaisons to create and manage published content across all social media platforms
- Create and maintain schedule
- Monitor all channels
- Manage the creation of social media graphics/videos for all platforms
- Leverage tools for managing social media channels
- Monitor and report analytics
The Social Media Manager administers programs to promote awareness of department services and products within the university community and general public, such as direct mail, telemarketing, advertising, publicity, community relations, promotional activities, special events, websites, etc. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing market research instruments or utilizing standard market research instruments to collect information necessary to market department goods and services. This position reports to the Director of Communications for Enrollment Services.

The annual base salary range for this position is $75,134.23 - $81,317.67. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
