Apply Keck Medicine of USC Hospital Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe Senior Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying and recommending top-tier candidates for leadership and hard-to-fill roles across Keck Medicine of USC. This key role will collaborate closely with hiring managers and internal recruiters to identify, assess, and engage both active and passive candidates through comprehensive and innovative talent sourcing strategies. The expertise of the Sr. Sourcing Specialist will be essential in driving talent acquisition efforts that align with our organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber candidates across various platforms, including social networks, niche job boards, and targeted advertising. Candidate Assessment: Proactively research and pre-screen candidates by reviewing online portfolios, resumes, and conducting initial outreach to ensure a strong fit for open positions. Collaboration and Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to recruitment team members, guiding them in best practices and effective sourcing techniques. Talent Engagement: Create compelling outreach campaigns to generate interest in our organization, driving potential candidates to engage with our brand and opportunities. Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates through networking with industry-related groups, organizations, and academic institutions. Employer Branding: Strengthen our employer brand by actively promoting our values and culture to attract the right talent. Vendor Management: Collaborate with select external recruitment vendors to enhance sourcing capabilities, ensuring alignment with the health system's talent acquisition strategy, and evaluating vendor performance to optimize partnerships. Process Improvement: Collaborate with HR leaders on strategic initiatives, focusing on process enhancements, quality improvements, and data-driven reporting.
Essential Duties:
- Performs sourcing specialist role for hard-to-fill and more challenging positions within the organization.
- Serves as lead and subject matter expert, to assist other recruiters in the health system.
- Works closely with HR Leaders on projects and assists with strategic initiatives.
- Provides leadership with recommendation on improvements, when opportunity arise, relating to process and quality.
- Regularly provides reports and data relating to sourcing activity and performance to assist leaders with strategic decisions.
- Identifies potential and priority candidates through internal resume database, candidate referrals, social networking, and internet sourcing.
- Develops and utilizes internet mining strategies to locate and recruit candidates.
- Works closely with internal Talent Acquisitions team to develop and execute tactical sourcing strategies to create appropriate candidate flow and pipeline to meet overall recruiting goals.
- Prepare and present status reports to key stakeholders - Recruiters & Recruiting Managers – as well as secondary stakeholders - Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners - on the talent marketplace and the strength of our talent pipeline.
- Build a talent pipeline for key roles & hard-to-fill positions with a deep understanding of the competitive talent marketplace.
- Assists in determining appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions.
- Develops a network of potential candidates through industry-related groups, organizations, and academic institutions.
- Collaborates with external recruitment vendors to enhance sourcing capabilities, ensuring alignment with the health system’s talent acquisition strategy, and evaluating vendor performance to optimize partnerships.
- Documents interactions, outreach, and screening results. Assists potential candidates through the interview and hiring processes.
- Partner with internal partners such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion office to identify & collaborate on sourcing talent from external partners.
- Defines, refines, executes, and communicates search strategies for open positions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Req Bachelor’s Degree In a related field.
- Req 7 years Experience in customer service (preferably in a healthcare call center environment).
- Req 3 years Progressive lead/ supervisory experience.
- Req Knowledge of HIPAA Compliance and various insurance types.
- Req Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communications skills. Ability to multi‐task, implement applications, policies and establish efficient workflow systems. Knowledge of patient admissions, insurance billing and communications systems.
- Req Knowledge of medical terminology, health plans, third‐party payor, ACD reporting and MS office software.
- Req Skills: Demonstrated ability and knowledge in analysis, assessment/ evaluation, budget development and control, clinical documentation, coaching, conflict resolution, counseling, customer service, human resources process and employment, interpretation of policies, project management, training and development, scheduling, problem identification and resolution, management.
- Req Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization and planning
- Req Ability and knowledge to use the following machine/ equipment: calculator, computer, photocopier, fax, telephone, word processor.

- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The annual base salary range for this position is $68,640.00 - $112,370.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
