Storeroom Specialist (Union Only)

We are seeking a Storeroom Specialist to join our rapidly growing team.
The Opportunity:
The Storeroom Specialist will be responsible for maintaining our storeroom facility in line with our standards of excellence. You will have the opportunity to receive, process, and stock our inventory as it arrives. As the team member receiving shipments, you will ensure that all products match our order logs and are recorded properly to maintain accurate records. No details are too small for our team – we expect that you feel the same way!
The Accountabilities:
- Provide customer services to faculty, staff, students and guests.
- Receive product/merchandise. Ensure all received goods meet standards and health code requirements.
- Reconcile invoices with order sheets.
- Stock all inventory in designated areas.
- Assist in identifying product needs. Place product orders.
- Maintain inventories. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts. Record end-of-month inventory.
- Maintain organization of storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities.
- Adhere to department service standards and to all health, safety and University rules and regulations.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Report to station, ready to work at the time work assignment is scheduled to begin.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
The Qualifiers:
- Education: High School not required.
- Experience: 1 year.
- Expertise:
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid California State Driver’s License.
- Ability to drive a truck.

- High School Diploma.
- 2 years of experience.
- Experience with inventory control and maintenance.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.65. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
