Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology

(Neuro-Ophthalmology Service)

The Department of Ophthalmology/USC Roski Eye Institute, Keck School of Medicine of USC, is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-track fellowship-trained, board-eligible, or board-certified clinical faculty in neuro-ophthalmology at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level to join our department’s Neuro-Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Service. The successful candidates will have the academic title of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology.

Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Provides outstanding clinical care in neuro-ophthalmology and adult strabismus.
  • Actively involve in the teaching and mentoring of students, interns, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Board-certified/board-eligible ophthalmologists who are surgeons are welcome to apply.
  • Ideal candidate should be trained and experienced in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological conditions and disorders that affect the visual pathways including those who have been diagnosed with strabismus.

  • Applicants must hold an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.  
  • Interest in clinical, translational, or basic science research with a track record of productive research and the goal of obtaining extramural funding in the future is preferred.

Position Summary and Compensation:

The annual base salary for this full-time, non-tenure-track, and exempt faculty position will be between $165,000 to $330,000 plus productivity incentives. The annual base salary is dependent on the rank hired into and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
