Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy
Apply Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry Faculty Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California invites applicants to apply for a clinical faculty position at the Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice. The successful candidate will provide Lifestyle Redesign services to patients with a variety of physical and mental health conditions. The primary functions of this position will include delivering high quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. As a clinical faculty member, candidates will also engage is general service, student-centered and scholarly activities and will be expected to participate in fieldwork education and training to occupational therapy students. Major duties include providing comprehensive patient care including patient evaluation and treatment planning for effective patient outcomes, patient care documentation, attendance at patient care related meetings, participation in interdisciplinary team meetings, and maintenance of an appropriate level of productivity. Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, participation in instructional activities, and adherence to policies, procedures and safety regulations are key aspects of this role. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of current practice in the field of Occupational Therapy, effective verbal and written communication skills, and mature and sound judgment.
Qualifications include an earned doctoral degree (OTD, Ph.D.), excellent clinical ability (with clinical experience in Lifestyle Redesign®, mental health, and health promotion and wellness services preferred), experience working with Faculty Practice Area young adults, adults, and older adults, a current license to practice occupational therapy in California, and current BCLS CPR certification and knowledge of emergency first aid procedures.
The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000-$95,000.
