Successful candidates will have demonstrated effectiveness in counselor education, school counseling in K-12 education. We seek candidates with a strong background in understanding and modeling knowledge skills and dispositions for effective school counseling. A commitment to social justice, equity, and assets based approaches to working with all students, but particularly those from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups is essential. Candidates should have a Pupil Personnel Services credential and graduate level teaching experience, with an emphasis on school, community, mental health counseling. Candidates with practice-based, teaching, and/or research experience that concentrates on policy related to equity, improving opportunity and increasing educational outcomes for historically underrepresented groups are especially desired.
This position is an instructional, non-tenure track faculty appointment with a 12-month renewable contract.
