Program Specialist

Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California

The USC Clinical Trials Office is seeking a Clinical Trial Management System (OnCore) Calendar Builder.
This position supports the Cancer Center and other departments with calendar building and ongoing activities in the OnCore application, including: 

  • Evaluate protocol submissions to determine whether calendars should be managed in-house or sent to third party vendor.
  • Build and configure electronic study calendars with budget details for clinical trial data capture in accordance with the terms of the protocol in OnCore.
  • Review calendars created by third party vendors and validate for accuracy,  and communicate with budgeting and coverage analyst specialists regarding calendar design at kick off meetings.
  • Triage amendment submissions and Update OnCore protocol information as required.
  • Perform system testing as directed and quality control of application functionality during application upgrades.
    Assist coverage analysts, budget specialists and cancer center employees who encounter technical issues problems or have questions relating to OnCore.
    Collaborate with direct supervisor, finance team, clinical research team, project manager, health system representatives, consultants and vendors to ensure overall completion of goals, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Stay up to date on all new and evolving institutional changes as they relate to policy, pricing, budgeting, etc. for clinical trial data captured in OnCore.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to OnCore, Clinical Trials Office and Cancer Center leadership, as necessary.
  • Assist the OnCore team in developing learning tools as they relate to calendar/ budget building tasks.
  • Act as a resource to other calendar/ budget builders utilizing OnCore.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Provides specialized professional support services to administrators and/or project managers in the administration of research and/or administrative projects. Assists in the administration and coordination of a variety of research and/or administrative projects including planning, budgeting, organizing, research and delivery of services. Coordinates and supervises work assignments of other administrative personnel as assigned.

“The annual base salary range for this position is $29.44-$40.00.
