Research Coordinator II
Apply Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is in search of a dependable, flexible, and detailed-oriented and experienced individual needed to join a research team at the University of Southern California to participate in a Project named “JEDI Workforce Academy” which is part of the JEDI Work Force Development program at USC.
Employment involves (1) maintaining contact with those enrolled in the study and scheduling appointments for project visits; (2) conduct testing of the materials developed as mentioned in the scope of work; (3) entering data into databases; (4) Knowledgeable on institutional regulations as well as Good Clinical Practices and HIPPA regulations; (5) assist in development and management of project budgets; (6) develop and create project recruitment materials; (7) plan, coordinate, and attend project related meetings; (8) develop, implement, an evaluate an 8-12 week curriculum; and (9) oversee the day-to-day activities and providing project support to the research study and faculty investigator. Excellent writing and speaking skills are required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities, superb problem-solving skills, experience working with budgets and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends may be needed. Have over 10 years of experience and prior experience in managing programs such as workday is preferred.
The hourly rate range for this position is $34.52 - $42.05. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience: 2 years Minimum Skills: Administrative or research experience. Knowledge of medical environment and terminology. Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and institutional research regulations as well as Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and HIPPA regulations. Proficient with MS Office applications. Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills. Ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Preferred Experience: 3 years Preferred Skills: Staff education and orientation experience. Knowledge of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
