Admissions Counselor I

Join the prestigious Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California's Health Sciences Campus as an Admissions Counselor I! This role goes beyond admissions processing—be part of a dynamic team where you’ll directly impact students' journeys in fields like the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, Biokinesiology (PhD and Master’s), and Clinical Residency programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure applications are complete and accurate within the centralized portal, coordinating with faculty on the admissions committee.
  • Address student inquiries, guiding them with care and clarity.
  • Support all admissions-related functions, database maintenance, and more to help streamline our admissions processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years in admissions or related roles, ideally within an educational institution.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • Organizational Talent: Strong time management and a proactive approach to handle priorities seamlessly.
  • Passion for Student Success: A genuine interest in supporting and connecting with graduate students.

The hourly rate range for this position is $27.47 - $32.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
